Our proximity to unparalleled, breath taking Scuba diving for our guests begins on site. The resort, located in Port Royal, has world class, pristine walls, with incredible diving only two minutes from our dock. Literally, in front of the resort, there are many spectacular reef wall dives, some plunging to more than 2000 feet. Several dives start in as little as 15 to 30 feet of water.

We dive the east end of Roatan. The reefs here are the most pristine on all of Roatan. While staying with us, you can expect to dive from Calvin's Crack in Jonesville, Church Wall, Carlos and Charlies, Calabash Bight, Lime Caye Wall, Front Porch, Fort Caye Wall, Blue Hole, Shrimp Boat Wall, Helene Wall, Morat Wall, and Barbaret Wall. Your week of diving also includes lunch at the Piegon Cayes, a splendid setting of uninhabited tropical islands east of Barbaret.

We maintain moorings on our most popular dive sites. As well, we have many beautiful drift dives that carry our guests past walls, corals, and colorful fish.

Our guests receive a personal diving experience from the dock to the diving and back. Groups are limited in number to 10 passengers per boat to assure an incredible and safe dive for everyone. Because diving is the main focus of most of our guests, we have included three dives a day in your Royal Playa Resort stay.

PADI Open Water Certification is available for new divers, as well as a refresher course for those that have been out of the water for longer than they care to admit. We also do offer a resort couse for those thinking of getting certified. This gives you the chance to experience Scuba in a safe environment. It will help you realize how many great diving experiences await you.

Our guests frequently take advantage of our dive center that is stocked with equipment from Scubapro_Uwatec. All of our rental equipment is up to date Scuba Pro equipment. If you do not have equipment, or you want to pack light, we have very reasonable rental rates. We can sevrvice our guests dive gear from Scuba Pro, and some other brands. We also sell Scuba Pro dive gear.

In the case of an emergency, our dive boats have emergency oxygen on board and all staff members are qualified to use it as well as being trained in First Aid and CPR.

There is a hyperbaric chamber on Roatan, it is located at Anthony's Key Resort on north shore of Roatan in Sandy Bay.
